Steve Geary has been involved in real estate for the past 25 years as an investor and consultant to lending institutions and the real estate community as a whole.  His passion of fine wine, beer, and food was the impetus for ‘the crow bar and kitchen.  As principal owner, he brings innovative ideas to the company and as a Corona del Mar resident for nearly 10 years, he desires to create a true neighborhood place for people to gather and enjoy the finest of food and beverage in a relaxing, social and comfortable atmosphere. Steve characterizes the essential philosophies that guide the establishment: "I consider myself the kind of person who would be frequenting ‘the crow bar and kitchen’", alluding to the receptive atmosphere and quality menus. “As a customer, I was looking for something in Orange County that didn’t exist - now it will.”  He has helped shape what this unique american gastropub will offer, built around the ideals of accessibility and expertise. 

Along with General Manager and Executive Chef Scott Brandon, Steve’s goal for ‘the crow bar and kitchen’ is a focus on quality and good community stewardship which will ensure that ‘the crow bar and kitchen’ will become synonymous with an exceptionally social and friendly environment, a place where guests are encouraged to socialize, share, and become more involved in the dining experience.  As with Scott, Steve and ‘the crow bar and kitchen’ support many charitable causes and groups including Share our Strength – www.strength.org;  Slow Food USA – www.slowfoodusa.org;  Meals on Wheels – www.mowaa.org, among others.
